Katie Frank Psomas
Katie Frank is an artist who works with form, design, installation, performance and environment. Her work has traveled within the United States and abroad to such countries as Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Israel, Iran, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan. She completed her Masters in Fine Arts at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California in 1998 working with Viola Frey and Arthur Gonzalez. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Magna cum Laude and her Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana working with Jeremy Jernegan and Jacqueline Bishop.
She has been awarded Art Residencies and worked in Italy and Greece. Katie is a full-time tenured Associate Professor at Ohlone College in Fremont, California. She began teaching full time in 2001. She teaches a wide range of classes from 2-D Design, 3-D Design, Ceramics, Art Appreciation and Drawing. In 2018 she will be adding an Installation Course to the curriculum and continue to focus on ceramics and art appreciation.
